About Blood Surge:
The game is great, and has always been good. It merely launched with unfortunate origins and advertising which did justly did cause some ire. Yes. There were some minor bugs, -rare- major bugs and exploits at launch. That along with the difficulty scaling that was not suited for a casual audience at launch were the major LEGITIMATE causes for dissapointment. Back4blood simply isn’t left4dead3 which is what people were hoping for, but it is an amazing co-op horde shooter with deeper mechanics and systems that provide for a very satisfying and replayable experience. If I had to compare the two games, I’d say that Left4dead is the better cinematic experience with the rigorous amount of time they put into the animations, while Back4blood is the deeper and arguably more fun gameplay experience for those looking for a (different) challenge. Additionally, I’d like to argue that back4blood is simply too hectic to warrant a bunch of extraneous cool kill animations which ultimately do not matter gameplay-wise. I surely did not care for them in Left4dead, and certainly do not care for them here. The game was fun, but they COMPLETELY changed how the campaign works. It no longer feels like a campaign but a boring roblox minigame. The cutscenes no longer make sense, and they just throw random big zombies after you. before the patch they introduced them and the game had a nice narrative. Don’t buy it before they change it back.
